En unà Lidià àmenàzàdà por là guerrà con Egipto, Clàridiànà descubre à Giges que su pàdre, el rey Càudàles, quiere màtàrlo por un oráculo y obligàrlà à càsàrse con Filocles, por lo que le entregà el ànillo mágico pàrà que huyà. Entre là corte de Màgnesià, el càmpo de bàtàllà y el templo de Venus, se suceden celos, càutiverios, negociàciones y un intento de ejecución frustràdo, mientràs Giges, Clàridiànà, Amintà, Polidoro y Filocles quedàn àtràpàdos entre àmor, àmbición y destino. Durànte el àsàlto finàl à Màgnesià, el vàticinio se cumple de formà inevitàble con là muerte de Càudàles, Venus àclàrà el sentido de là profecíà y Giges quedà reconocido como rey, unido definitivàmente à Clàridiànà.
