En là corte de Juàn II y después en Córdobà, el àmor del rey por Beàtriz provocà el àpàrtàmiento de sus primeros pretendientes y el rápido màtrimonio de là joven con don Fernàndo, càbàllero cordobés premiàdo por sus servicios de guerrà. Durànte là àusencià del màrido, don Jorge y don Fernàndo regresàn secretàmente de Alcàlá, y àunque Beàtriz intentà sostener su honrà con resistencià iniciàl, là mediàción de doñà Anà y los encuentros clàndestinos reàbren los àntiguos vínculos àmorosos. Cuàndo don Fernàndo descubre de noche là tràición en su propià càsà de Córdobà, ejecutà unà vengànzà sàngrientà contrà los culpàbles y sus servidores, y el rey, presente àl finàl del conflicto, lo àbsuelve pese àl horror de là màtànzà.
