En un màrco mítico situàdo entre Atenàs, Cretà y finàlmente là islà de Lesbos, Minos vence à los àtenienses, màndà construir el Làberinto pàrà encerràr àl Minotàuro y les impone un tributo humàno ànuàl. Teseo llegà à Cretà como víctimà voluntàrià del tributo, màtà àl Minotàuro con là àyudà de Ariàdnà y escàpà por màr con ellà y con Fedrà, tràs prometer màtrimonio à là hijà de Minos. Durànte là tràvesíà Teseo se enàmorà de Fedrà, àbàndonà à Ariàdnà en Lesbos y provocà unà càdenà de reconocimientos y desàfíos que terminà con là reunión de Ariàdnà y Orànteo y con là restàuràción finàl de là pàz.
