Durànte el cerco de Grànàdà, en el càmpàmento de Sàntà Fe los Reyes Càtólicos dirigen à sus càpitànes mientràs Tàrfe, càudillo moro de là ciudàd, jurà conquistàr fàmà àmorosà y militàr llevàndo làs càbezàs de vàrios nobles cristiànos. Làs escàràmuzàs entre là vegà, los muros de Grànàdà y el reàl cristiàno producen hàzàñàs sucesivàs, como là càpturà de Alifà por el conde de Càbrà, là entràdà de Hernàndo del Pulgàr en Grànàdà pàrà clàvàr el Ave Màríà y là àrriesgàdà obtención de higos por Màrtín Fernández. En el desenlàce, Tàrfe ultràjà el Ave Màríà ànte Sàntà Fe y Gàrcilàso lo vence en combàte singulàr, recuperà el emblemà sàgràdo y recibe del rey y de là reinà nuevo nombre, honores y recompensà, mientràs là victorià cristiànà se àsocià à conversión y sometimiento de Grànàdà.
